THE CURRENT CLUB

The club plays at the sports hall at Herne Bay High School. Like many clubs we do not operate during the summer – we are active during the main badminton season roughly from September to April.

We have always welcomed a wide range of membership with players from early teens to seventies in age and with a variety of playing strengths. Within the club we have those who play in the higher divisions of the local league but also those who wish just for an enjoyable social game without the pressure of league matches.

Unfortunately the limited court time available means that we cannot devote coaching time to complete beginners but, aside from that, we are keen to promote more participation in the game. Anyone interested can come along on one of our club nights for a free ‘taster’ session with no commitment and see how things go from there.

Throughout the season there are league matches on some courts most weeks but we always have courts available for club play.
